Blog Entry: 6 The importance of protecting animals and preventing them from being abused

When I say protecting animals and preventing abuse I’m talking about all kinds of animals, dogs, cats, birds, elephants etc.

We need to make sure that animals around us are safe, healthy and protected, because we rely on them for food, labor and companionship. Abuse happens every day. For example, in some countries like India, Thailand, they cut elephants tusk off. Now because of that the elephant population number is starting to decrease. It doesn’t matter the size of the animal rabbit, lizard, dog, cat, they are still animals that can be abused and hurt.  The loss of one animal or plant can change the environment. The loss of one plant can endanger 30 insects. Also, the loss of the 30 insects would make the endangered species list larger. 1 million animals a year are abused or killed in episodes of domestic violence.  To prevent pets from getting hurt join an animal rights activist group. An animal rights activist group are people living all over the world who spend some or most of their time protesting or otherwise working against factory farming, animal testing and other abuses of the animal kingdom they also find safe and better homes for animals. That’s why I chose to do my blog about protecting animals and preventing abuse just watching those commercials about the dogs or cats being abandoned made me want to do this topic. every animal deserves a safe and happy home.

  3. You know elephants have been actually evolving without tusks due to the constant ivory poaching. It's really quite a marvel what nature is capable of despite the brutality man continues to inflict. I've always been a firm believer that one of the best ways to fight against these horrors is starting in your own home and community. If you continue to eat meat, consider only shopping from sustainable and responsible farmers/butchers. Only buy from companies that don't test their products on animals. Protesting is one thing, but hurting the wallet of these big corporations is truly the only thing they care about.

  4. Hey, Jazzmyn. Your four new entries here look pretty good and bring up interesting topics and ideas. Your writing flows pretty well, and you are beginning to dig into your analysis and content, but you are a bit brief at times. Don't stop yourself short. Also, don't forget about visual appeal and engagement. One block of text is not visually engaging.
