   Welcome to Jazzy girl blog.  My name is Jazzmyn.  I am a freshman in college now. This is my first time   doing a blog so you will be learning about me while I’m learning about blogging.  My name is original and unique because of the way its spelled. My name is spelled Jazzmyn not Jasmine, because my dad likes smooth jazz. 



I have several interests, none of them are smooth jazz.  My interest includes photography, writing, learning a new language, traveling and exploring the world. However, the one I’m the most interested in is art. I have always loved going to art museums, which inspired my desire to learn about art and create my own artwork. I enjoy drawing and painting because it’s relaxing. 


What I don’t like and what bothers, what is stressful and not relaxing to me are people who talk with their mouth full, are sarcastic, loud and obnoxious, who yell in close spaces instead of speaking softly.  I especially don’t like people who make fun of other people’s, disabilities or talk down to anyone. 

 

 I hope to change the hearts and minds children that I teach as my first goal is to get my associate degree in Elementary Education from Glendale Community College. After that I plan to transfer Northern Arizona University to pursue my bachelor's degree. Following my graduation, I would like to teach in private school setting for a few years then open my own day center.

  It is very Important to have a healthy diet and watched what you cause some people have diabetes and other issues. People with health issues should have a balanced diet watch what they and do but everybody is different and wants to do their own thing. Blog Entry # 4 The Importance of being Aware of Bias

  In my Cultural Diversity in Education class, we have been discussing many different topics the Impact of changes, The history of Multicultural Education, Race and Bias. The one I found most interesting in are class discussion was being bias. Bias is caused to feel or show inclination or prejudice for or against someone or something. the reason why and how this topic is important for people to know is that because there is different bias.   Cultural bias, also known as implicit bias, involves those who perceive other cultures as being abnormal, outlying, or exotic, simply based on a comparison to their own culture.   In-group bias this type of bias refers to how people are more likely to support or believe someone within their own social group than an outsider.
